Last updated: 2 September 2026
1. About these Terms
These Website Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the website at https://veriserv.co.za, including its pages, forms, documents, content, links and any website-based services made available by Veriserv (Pty) Ltd.
By accessing or using the website, the user agrees to these Terms. If the user does not agree, the user must stop using the website.
These Terms apply only to the website. A quotation, proposal, mandate, application, policy, finance agreement, rental agreement, product order, service-level agreement, platform agreement or other contract may contain additional terms. If there is a conflict, the specific signed or accepted agreement will govern the relevant product or service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, ECTA, POPIA, FAIS or other applicable law.

3. Purpose of the website
The website provides general information about Veriserv and its commercial finance, insurance, risk management, fleet, tracking, recovery, video telematics, dashcam and transport management solutions.
The website allows a visitor to submit an enquiry. It does not, through the general enquiry form alone:
- submit a formal finance or insurance application;
- guarantee that a product, service, quotation or proposal will be offered;
- conclude a finance, insurance, rental, tracking, telematics or other service agreement;
- authorise a credit check or regulated verification unless the required separate process and permission are completed;
- constitute acceptance by a bank, funder, insurer, underwriter, credit provider or technology provider; or
- create a duty for Veriserv to proceed with an enquiry.
Veriserv may contact the enquirer to clarify the requirement and explain any additional documents, permissions, disclosures and terms needed before an application or service can proceed.
4. No general information as advice, quotation or offer
Website content is general information and does not constitute:
- financial, credit, tax, legal, accounting, insurance, investment or other professional advice;
- a recommendation that a specific product, service, device, platform, insurer, funder or structure is suitable for a particular person or business;
- a quotation, policy wording, credit agreement, binding offer or guarantee;
- a promise of finance approval, insurance acceptance, cover, claims payment, savings, recovery, risk reduction or operational performance; or
- a substitute for a needs analysis, risk assessment, underwriting process, credit assessment, technical assessment or signed agreement.
Users must obtain advice appropriate to their circumstances and review all applicable product terms before making a decision. Financial services will be provided only within Veriserv's authorised scope and through the required FAIS process.
5. Regulated and non-regulated services
Veriserv is an authorised financial services provider in relation to the financial products and services covered by its FSP licence.
Fleet technology, dashcams, video telematics, tracking, recovery, installation, software, hardware, cloud storage, fleet analytics, transport management and related operational services are not necessarily financial products or financial services regulated under FAIS. FAIS protections do not automatically apply to those non-financial products or services merely because they are supplied or coordinated by an authorised financial services provider.
The relevant proposal or agreement must identify the provider, scope and terms applicable to each product or service.
6. Third-party decisions, products and services
Veriserv may arrange, facilitate, coordinate, refer or support products and services supplied by banks, funders, rental providers, insurers, underwriting managers, credit providers, telematics platforms, tracking companies, recovery providers, installers and other third parties.
Those third parties may independently determine:
- eligibility, approval, pricing, interest, fees and finance terms;
- insurance acceptance, premium, excess, exclusions, warranties and claims outcomes;
- product availability, installation requirements and compatibility;
- network, cloud, platform, footage and data availability;
- service areas, response times and recovery processes; and
- other contractual and operational conditions.
Veriserv does not bind an independent third party unless it has express authority to do so. Third-party terms, privacy notices and service conditions apply to the products or services they provide.
7. Product and service information
Veriserv takes reasonable steps to present accurate information. Specifications, images, diagrams, descriptions, integrations, certifications, storage periods and platform functions may change and may differ by model, configuration, network, supplier, vehicle, region or service agreement.
In particular:
- device and platform functions depend on the selected configuration and compatible services;
- live viewing, alerts, tracking and data transmission depend on connectivity, network coverage, power, device condition, installation and platform availability;
- cloud storage described as being available for footage for up to six months is subject to the selected platform, service, configuration, event type, storage rules and agreement;
- telematics, video and driver-monitoring information supports management review but does not eliminate accidents, misconduct, theft, fraud, insurance loss or operational risk; and
- an image or website description does not form part of a binding specification unless it is included in the applicable quotation or agreement.
Veriserv may correct website errors and update or discontinue content, products or services without prior notice.
8. Permitted use
The website may be used for lawful business information, evaluation and enquiry purposes.
A user may not:
- access, test, scan or interfere with the website, server, database, network or security controls without written authorisation;
- introduce malware, harmful code, automated attacks or excessive traffic;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to an account, portal, system or data;
- scrape, harvest, copy or extract website content or personal information at scale;
- use bots or automated tools in a manner that burdens, disrupts or bypasses website controls;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent authority, identity or information;
- submit unlawful, false, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing or harmful material;
- use website information to send unsolicited communications or conduct unlawful marketing;
- reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code where prohibited by law; or
- use the website in a manner that infringes Veriserv's or another person's rights.
Veriserv may restrict or block access where it reasonably suspects misuse, a security threat or unlawful conduct.
9. Enquiries and information submitted by users
A user submitting information through the website confirms that:
- the information is accurate to the best of the user's knowledge;
- the user is authorised to provide it and to act for the named business where applicable;
- the information does not unlawfully infringe another person's privacy, confidentiality or intellectual property rights; and
- the user will not submit unnecessary special personal information, children's information, passwords, payment card details or highly sensitive documents through a general enquiry form.
Submitting an enquiry authorises Veriserv to process the supplied information to respond, route the request and take requested pre-contractual steps in accordance with the Privacy and POPIA Policy. Separate consent or authority may be required before credit, insurance, FICA, tracking, telematics or other regulated processing takes place.
Email and internet communications can be intercepted, delayed, corrupted or incomplete. A user should confirm urgent or sensitive instructions through an appropriate direct channel.
10. Portal, console and account access
If Veriserv or a service provider gives a client or user access to a portal, fleet management console or application, the following rules apply in addition to the platform's own terms:
- credentials are personal to the authorised user and must be kept secure;
- access may be used only for the authorised business purpose and permitted vehicles, drivers, records and functions;
- the client is responsible for promptly adding, changing and removing authorised users;
- credentials may not be shared with unauthorised persons;
- suspected compromise, incorrect permissions or unauthorised access must be reported promptly; and
- Veriserv or the platform provider may suspend access to protect systems, information, users or legal rights.
The client is responsible for ensuring that its use of driver, employee, vehicle, location, audio and video information complies with employment, privacy, surveillance and other applicable laws and workplace requirements.
11. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, website content, text, graphics, branding, layouts, photographs, videos, documents, code and other materials are owned by or licensed to Veriserv and are protected by South African and international intellectual property laws.
Users may view, download or print reasonable extracts for internal evaluation of Veriserv's services, provided that copyright and proprietary notices remain intact. No content may be reproduced, adapted, republished, distributed, sold, licensed, used in marketing, incorporated into another website or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where law expressly permits it.
Third-party names, logos, products and trade marks remain the property of their respective owners. Their display does not imply an endorsement beyond the relationship expressly stated by Veriserv.
12. Links and embedded third-party content
The website may contain links to or embedded content from third parties. Links are provided for convenience or service access. Veriserv does not control independent third-party websites and is not responsible for their availability, security, accuracy, content, privacy practices or terms.
A user accesses third-party content at the user's own discretion and should review the applicable terms and privacy notices.
No person may frame the website, create a misleading association with Veriserv or link to the website in a defamatory, unlawful or deceptive context. Ordinary, accurate links to public pages are permitted, but Veriserv may request removal where the context is misleading or harmful.
13. Website availability and security
Veriserv aims to maintain reasonable website availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure access. The website may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, hosting, network failures, cyber incidents, power failures, third-party services or events outside reasonable control.
Veriserv may change, suspend or withdraw any website function without notice. Users are responsible for using suitable security software, maintaining backups and protecting their own devices and connections.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the website and its general content are provided on an "as available" basis. Veriserv does not warrant that:
- all content is complete, current or suitable for every purpose;
- the website will always be available or free of defects or harmful components;
- third-party links, tools, maps, platforms or services will operate as expected; or
- reliance on general website content will produce a particular commercial, financial, insurance, safety or operational outcome.
This clause does not exclude a warranty or right that applies by law and cannot be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Veriserv will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from access to, inability to access, or reliance on general website content, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, data or goodwill.
Veriserv's liability will not be excluded or limited where the exclusion or limitation is prohibited by the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law, or in respect of fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence or another liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Liability relating to a contracted product or service is governed by the applicable agreement, product terms and mandatory law rather than this website clause alone.
16. Responsibility for unlawful use
A user is responsible for loss, damage, cost or claim caused by that user's unlawful use of the website, infringement of another person's rights, fraudulent submission or unauthorised interference with systems or data. This responsibility applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not require a consumer to assume liability that the law places on Veriserv.
17. Privacy and cookies
Personal information is processed as described in the Privacy and POPIA Policy. Cookies and similar technologies are described in the Cookie Policy.
By submitting an enquiry, the user acknowledges the applicable privacy notice. Acceptance of these Terms is not blanket consent to every form of personal-information processing or direct marketing.
18. Electronic communications
The user agrees that notices and communications relating to website use may be delivered electronically to the contact details supplied by the user, where permitted by law.
An electronic message is not regarded as received by Veriserv merely because it was sent. It is regarded as received when it enters Veriserv's designated information system and is capable of being retrieved and processed. Automated confirmations acknowledge technical receipt only and do not constitute acceptance of an application, instruction, quotation or contract.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Subject to any mandatory consumer, ombud or regulatory process, disputes concerning the website are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. Nothing prevents a person from approaching a regulator, ombud, tribunal or other body with jurisdiction.
20. Changes to these Terms
Veriserv may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, website functionality or business operations. The current version will be published with its revision date. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised website terms, but a change will not retrospectively alter a separate concluded agreement unless that agreement and the law permit it.
21. General provisions
If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
A failure or delay by Veriserv to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
These Terms do not create a partnership, agency, employment or joint venture relationship between Veriserv and a website user.
