After completing military service as Support Point Commander in 1991, Morné joined Bankfin as a Customer Liaisons Officer. In 1994 he joined WesBank as Commercial Business Development Manager. As a young dynamic, successful corporate career executive with an entrepreneurial spirit he was constantly looking for more challenging and rewarding opportunities and subsequently joined Citibank (largest bank globally at the time) in 2000 as Business Development Manager Commercial Vehicles. Citibank was new in South Africa and used South Africa as a springboard into rest of Africa. This was a unique opportunity, giving him exposure and experience at international level. In 2003 Morné joined Scania, helping and assisting them to establish Scania Finance in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Tanzania. WesBank approached Morné for assistance and he rejoined WesBank in 2011 as Head of Commercial Vehicles. 

In 2013 he was head hunted by Standard Bank and appointed as Senior Manager JV & Alliances – Vehicle and Asset Finance Africa, responsible for 16 countries. After 16 years of international experience and extensive travelling, achieving most of his corporate objectives in commercial asset finance, Morné once again accepted a radical change and opportunity and joined Ctrack (telematics service provider) in 2016. In 2023 he left Ctrack as Executive Head of Alliances and pursued new business opportunities and ventures as Director of Veriserv and Infiniti Mobiliti – offering unique value propositions to OEM’s, Financial Institutions and customers. 

His experience includes international exposure, establishing financial services in multiple countries, and leading alliances and partnerships in the vehicle and asset finance industry. Morné has also been actively involved in various boards and executive committees during his career.
